About Marijean and Seth

We’re just so, so lucky.

Seth was born in Ohio, lived all over as a kid, but mainly in Boca Raton, Florida. Then he was off to Middlebury, Vermont for college, then to Charlottesville, Virginia for graduate school. From the age of 10, Seth has spent his summers (or at least some part) in Upstate New York on Lake George.

Marijean was born in Illinois, moved to Missouri for college, then moved to Charlottesville, Virginia when her then-husband Mark’s job transferred them there. Marijean’s winters as a kid were spent, in part, in Boca Raton, Florida while her dad got his MBA. In the summer, she’d visit relatives in Upstate New York, sometimes visiting Lake George.

How about that?

More recently, Seth has worked for an investment management company in downtown Charlottesville, Virginia for about ten years. Marijean has run her PR firm for more than four years from an office just three blocks away from Seth’s office near the historic downtown mall. They often meet during the day for walks along the downtown mall.

Seth has two kids, Caroline and Audrey, who, at the time of the wedding will be 12 and 10 years old, respectively.

Marijean has two grownups, Aaron and Allison, who, at the time of the wedding will be 26 and 20 years old, respectively.

All four of our kids are practically perfect in every way.
