Meet our Guests: Barry and Tanya

If you had told us five or 10 years ago that Barry would be getting married in 2016 that only would have been slightly more believable than if you said that Marijean, or Seth (who didn’t even know each other then) would be getting married the same year! Life is wacky!

Marijean and Barry have been friends since 1988 or so, when they met at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Barry also happens to be Marijean’s closest friend who also attended Lindenwood University. The last time the two of them lived in the same state was 2005, when Mj moved to Virginia. Barry departed for California soon after. There were a few occasions to meet up in St. Louis, but the long-distance friendship continues to thrive.

Now that Barry and his fiancee, Tanya live in Denver, Colorado, (we had a really fun, but short visit with them in February!) Mj and Seth are ready to plan lots of westward trips to see them and other close friends living there. Before that, though, Barry and Tanya have their own wedding in Hawaii this September.

We’re so happy for Tanya and Barry and look forward to celebrating long-awaited love and good fortune with them in 2016 and beyond. Be sure to wish them a happy engagement and smooth sailing for their destination wedding when you meet them in July!
